Fused chromium oxide

 is a high-purity, high-density molten crystal material, the main component of which is chromium trioxide (Cr₂O₃ ≥ 99%). It is based on selected natural chromium ore or chemically precipitated chromium raw materials, and is smelted in an electric arc furnace at ultra-high temperature conditions above 2000°C. The chromium oxide in the molten state is rapidly cooled and solidified to form a dense and uniform block, and then processed by fine processes such as crushing, ball milling, and grading to make granules or micropowders of different particle sizes to meet the different needs of various industrial applications.

Its crystal structure is dense and complete, with a Mohs hardness of 8~9. The material itself is dark green or dark green, with a stable color and a glassy surface. Fused chromium oxide has excellent wear resistance, high temperature resistance, acid and alkali corrosion resistance, and chemical inertness, and can maintain structural stability even in extremely harsh physical or chemical environments. Its extremely low thermal conductivity and excellent electrical insulation properties enable it to perform excellently under high temperature, strong corrosion, electrical isolation and other working conditions.

In addition, the crystal particles of fused chromium oxide are densely bonded and have extremely low apparent porosity (usually less than 3%), which gives it excellent thermal shock resistance and extremely high volume density. This material is widely used in many high-end industries such as metallurgy, machinery, electronics, chemical industry, aerospace, etc., especially suitable for high-performance refractory materials (such as furnace linings for copper and aluminum smelting, electrolytic cell linings, ladle castables, etc.), high-temperature plasma spray coatings, ceramic pigments, catalyst carriers and electronic functional materials with high insulation requirements.

According to different application requirements, fused chromium oxide can provide products with different particle sizes (blocks, sand, micro powder) and different purity grades. It has good processability and formula adaptability, and is one of the indispensable functional materials in modern high-end industrial manufacturing.
