Adverse factors continue to envelop the brown corundum market in December

Author: Comefrom: Release time:2025/5/21 17:02:51

At the beginning of December, the downstream demand for brown corundum market was difficult to be optimistic, and the market saturation was obvious. The production enthusiasm of brown corundum enterprises is not high, and they are about to enter the year-end stocking stage, but the brown corundum market has not been active as a result. The overall operating rate of brown corundum enterprises is not high, and the basic production capacity of production enterprises is maintained at about one-third.

Henan, Guizhou, and Shanxi are the three main production areas for brown corundum in China. Currently, there have been no significant price adjustments and prices have remained relatively stable. The fixed furnace sand with Al2O3 ≥ 95% in Henan region has a factory tax content of 4100-4300 yuan/ton. Currently, fixed furnace brown corundum production enterprises in Henan region are gradually closing down due to cost and environmental reasons, mainly using dump furnace production; Al2O3 ≥ 95% dumping furnace section sand factory tax 4250-4450 yuan/ton; Al2O3 ≥ 95% dumping furnace section sand in Guizhou region, factory tax included 4000-4300 yuan/ton; The factory production of Al2O3 ≥ 95% dumping furnace sand in Shanxi region, including tax, is 4150-4250 yuan/ton.

Amidst the sustained downturn in the domestic brown corundum market, foreign markets are also not immune. According to the import and export data from the customs in October, the total export volume of brown corundum in China was about 42900 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 33.4%; The export amount was approximately 29.828 million US dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 31.8%. The market situation for brown corundum in the future will become more severe, and pressure issues such as sales and payment collection may continue to envelop brown corundum production enterprises in an unfavorable environment.
