Brown fused alumina is produced from bauxite and other raw materials through high-temperature smelting and crystallization. It features high hardness, good toughness, and sharp-edged particles. Abrasive tools made from it are suitable for grinding materials with high tensile strength, such as carbon steel, general alloy steel, malleable cast iron, and hard bronze.It is also one of the main refractory materials.
