White fused alumina is produced from high-quality alumina powder through electric arc melting and crystallization. It has slightly higher hardness than brown fused alumina, but somewhat lower toughness. It features high purity, excellent self-sharpening properties, strong grinding ability, low heat generation, high efficiency, resistance to acid and alkali corrosion, high-temperature resistance, and good thermal stability.

Abrasive tools made from white fused alumina are suitable for grinding high-carbon steel, high-speed steel, and similar materials. It can also be used as a material for grinding and polishing, precision casting, coating applications, chemical catalyst carriers, as well as in advanced ceramics and high-grade refractory materials.
