Sanmenxia Yixiang Aluminum Industry Co., Ltd., a major chemical grade alumina producer in Henan, expanded its annual production capacity from 550000 tons to 700000 tons at the beginning of this year.

According to sources from the company, they currently have two production lines with annual capacities of 100000 tons and 600000 tons respectively. ”We are implementing the second phase expansion project and plan to increase production capacity to 800000 tons by the end of this year, "the source said, adding that their goal is to achieve a production of around 650000 tons by 2019.

They produced about 40000 tons of alumina in January, and it is expected that the production will remain unchanged in February with no inventory.

On Wednesday of this week, the mainstream alumina price in Henan Province was 2870-2920 yuan/ton, unchanged from Monday.
